Luckily, she latched right away and nursed like a pro. I brought a travel nursing pillow with me to the hospital, and I immediately realized it wasn’t a great fit for me. Once we got home, I tried out the other nursing pillows I had — but they all had downsides. Some required me to hunch to reach my tiny newborn, others got too hot during long nursing sessions, and others just didn’t sit comfortably on my waist/lap. When I tried the Momcozy MaxSupport Nursing Pillow, I knew I had found my perfect fit.

Honestly, the experience of testing out different nursing pillows made me feel a bit like Goldilocks; some were too big, some were too small, but the Momcozy MaxSupport Nursing Pillow was just right. Here’s what I love about the Momcozy nursing pillow:

After giving birth and getting adjusted to your newborn for a couple of days, you’re suddenly overwhelmed with the decision-making process that comes with being a mom: Am I going to breastfeed or formula feed? What type of formula should I give my child? Should I choose a formula with whole milk or skim milk?

And while trying to muddle through the complexities of infant formula can be quite challenging, Stephanie Hof, a pediatric dietitian and US health care manager for Kendamil, spoke with Mom.com to clarify a few things about the differences in infant formula.

My babysitter was the first to break the news to me, “Did you hear that they are running out of baby formula?” I had been so wrapped up in caring for my sick kids the past couple of weeks that I hadn’t kept up with the news. When she first said this to me, I was confused by her question and thought for sure I heard her wrong. I mean, we’ve all heard of baby formula recalls and the occasional plant shutting down, but was she actually saying that I wouldn’t be able to find my twins’ formula anywhere?

The newborn days are a glorious yet trying daze of late nights, early mornings, and every-few-hour feedings. Feeding your newborn is a beautiful bonding experience. But burping him afterward? If you know how to get him to burp, it’s no big deal. But for those of us who haven’t quite got it mastered, it can be a little frustrating.

After all, knowing how to burp a newborn should be second nature to a mom, right? In all honesty, it might not be, and that is totally OK. There are a few different ways you can burp your newborn, and sometimes even when you’ve tried everything, he still might not burp. Never fear. Today we’re going to talk about why burping your newborn is encouraged, different ways to burp the little one, and what to do if he won’t burp.

But with improvements in food science and technology, formula feeding is a close second to breastfeeding. So is baby formula safe? What is the best baby formula? And how’s that different from infant formulas? Or should it be, as my Latin teacher would say, formulae?
